SaaS for digital identity standards

EvolutionID GmbH has made it its mission to develop digital identities that are secure, efficient and user-friendly. A new solution is currently in the works – SaaS-based for standardized company ID cards.
Evolution ID specializes in the development and delivery of innovative solutions for managing digital identities in an organization and in handling RFID technologies. Their solutions are designed to optimize security, efficiency and user-friendliness in various areas of a company or organization, simplify processes and make them sustainably transparent. Modern technologies such as artificial intelligence or biometric processes are also used. Ali Gülüm, Chief Executive Officer of EvolutionID GmbH, gave insights into their latest solution in an interview.

Mr. Gülüm, a new solution is currently in the final stages of development and will soon expand your portfolio. What solution is it?

Ali Gülüm: We are pleased to introduce IDimage – a software-as-a-service application designed to optimize and standardize the capture of employee photos for company ID cards. Using AI technology, IDimage automates image processing and enables companies to obtain high-quality images without controlled environments. This innovative solution adds an advanced tool to our portfolio that addresses an often overlooked operational challenge. Through integration, companies can significantly improve the ID card issuance process, ensuring professionalism and consistency in the identification of all employees.

What motivated you to develop this solution and what market need do you meet with it?

Ali Gülüm: The motivation for the development arose from the challenges organizations face in acquiring uniform, high-quality employee photos for ID cards. Traditional methods rely on complex photo environments that burden resources, time and costs. Alternatively, they rely on user-generated photos – but these often do not deliver the desired quality and uniformity. We recognized a market need for a solution that:

• Reduces costs: The setup and maintenance of special photo booths is no longer necessary.
• Saves time: The photo acquisition process is simplified and administrative workload is reduced.
• Quality increases: AI-supported adjustments ensure that the photos comply with company standards (CI specifications).
• Efficiency increases: Processes are automated so that HR and administrative staff can concentrate on strategic tasks.

Our development was inspired by direct feedback from customers who found existing photo procurement processes frustrating. We aim to fill this gap in the market with a solution and thus contribute to improved security and brand representation.

What application areas is your new solution suitable for and who needs it?

Ali Gülüm: Our solution is suitable for companies that issue employee ID cards and require standardized photos, educational institutions such as schools and universities that require ID photos for students and employees, healthcare institutions such as hospitals and clinics that require secure management of employee identification, but also authorities or for event management.

The solution is particularly suitable for organizations with a large or distributed workforce where coordinating personal photo sessions is difficult. The online-based, AI-powered solution enables organizations to maintain their security protocols and professional standards regardless of size and structure.

Who was involved in the development?

Ali Gülüm: The development was a collaborative effort of our dedicated team of software developers, AI specialists, UX/UI designers and product managers. We also worked with a select group of beta testers and industry experts who provided valuable feedback to better tailor the solution to market needs. We also partnered with leading AI technology providers to integrate advanced image processing capabilities into our platform. AI technology has been a key driver of innovation for years and is already being successfully applied in our ID management system. This year, we filed a patent in the field of artificial intelligence that covers the expanded use of AI to generate reliable source code without hallucinations.

Why did you choose to develop a software-as-a-service solution?

Ali Gülüm: We chose a SaaS model because it offers scalability, accessibility and ease of deployment. By hosting the application in the cloud, we can provide continuous updates, maintain high security standards and offer our customers the flexibility to access the platform from anywhere without the need for complex installations or dedicated infrastructure. In addition, the SaaS model allows us to quickly respond to user feedback and implement improvements so that the solution always meets customer needs. The choice of an AI-powered system was deliberate in order to use advanced technology to automate complex tasks, thereby increasing efficiency and reducing human error.

What is your overall goal with your new solution?

Ali Gülüm: By automating and simplifying this process, we intend to:
